 Isla Santay

The holy island is an Ecuadorian island. It is located on the Guayas River 800 meters away from the city of Guayaquil and belongs to Durán. The area of the island comprises 2,174 hectares. Santay Island is another option that the guayaquileños and the people that visit the Pearl to spend a pleasant time surrounded by nature. This protected area of 2,174 hectares contains 60 species of flora. Among the typical animals of the area you can see the crocodiles of the Coast (in the crocodile), with 11 nine-year-old specimens.

 There is also a handicraft selling place. To reach the island Santa and must travel by boat from the pier, from the pier next to the Yacht Club Naval. The cost of the trip is $ 4 children and $ 2 children (includes a snack). From Friday to Sunday it is open from 09:00 to 17:00.
